GET TO KNOW THE TEAM
During the session we will work to make you feel as comfortable as possible. Think of it as, you hanging out doing what you do, working, laughing, playing, and just doing you. We'll be there in the background, guiding you when necessary and documenting it all.
After the session we will set up an in person meeting to present your images, make your selections, and take advantage of our special packages. When you book and hold your portrait photoshoot with us, you will automatically be eligible to join our VIP Portrait Club membership.
We are experienced Portrait photographers and our focus is on documenting YOU. Depending on what you want to use your photos for, we may want to show who you are, what you do, the little quirks that make you unique. Or if this is a couples shoot then we will want to show what is special about you and your partner.
Prepare for Your Portrait Session
A little preparation goes a long way so here are some tips to help you get ready. When it comes to Portrait Photography, it’s best to keep it simple for the most satisfying results. If something ornate is desired, that must be arranged in advance. Please arrive with hair and makeup already done and dressed for your first pose.
Best colors to use: Bold, vibrant, or darker colors usually photograph best, with shades of red, green, or blue usually being the most flattering. Colors to avoid are anything muted, greys, beige, or yellows. They may be fine for every day, but they tend to drain the color from the skin under photographic lighting. Black, charcoal, or navy are usually good on everyone.
Clothing: Try to select outfits that are well-fitted with simple smooth lines. Remember YOU are the Star of the Show! Do not wear anything too tight, too bulky, wrinkled, or exposing a lot of skin as this will require additional editing to make it look flattering. Be careful with prints or stripes.
Hair and Makeup: Matte foundations and neutral eye shadows are best; eyeliner and lash extensions or false eyelashes really help to open up your eyes. It’s best to avoid sparkles or shimmery finishes, as they can be unflattering in photos.
Viewing Presentation: Your appointment will be scheduled within 5-7 days after your photo shoot. We will do this on a big screen, and you will be presented with choices of which poses you prefer. Some views are better for wall enlargements, and some will be better in an album, etc. Selections will be made at the time of the viewing appointment, so please plan on making your purchase at that time when scheduling. Special offer purchases from your session will be available at that time only and will go back to normal pricing after your presentation appointment.
Digital files are only available with a purchase of $1500 or more, unless you have a special offer.
Only people scheduled for the shoot will be allowed in the studio. No pets unless prior arrangements have been made.
Failure to follow studio guidelines will result in rescheduling or cancellation.
